Facility Dogs
“Lending a paw in classrooms, courtrooms, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.”
Facility dogs have the unique ability to not only serve an individual but also a larger community, impacting the lives of many. Graduates from our program are paired with professionals to provide animal assisted therapies and interventions. These professional include, but are not limited to, physical and occupational therapists, counselors, teachers, speech therapists, and doctors.
Our Facility dogs receive the same training in basic foundation skills as our Service Dogs. In addition to this training, Facility dogs learn specialized skills to aid in different modalities of animal assisted intervention.
Facility dogs do not have public access rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). As such, they must have permission before entering any and all facilities.
